Every now and then I’ll find cubed steak on special…in other words CHEAP! So I snap them up and toss them in the slow-cooker for a homestyle meal that is always a big hit.
8 cubed steaks
2 cups beef stock
1 can cream of mushroom soup
Goya Sazonador Total All-Purpose Seasoning
Pinch of basil
Pinch of red pepper flakes
1 tbsp dried parsley
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
2 cups sliced mushrooms
• Season both sides of each cubed steak and set aside.
• In a medium bowl whisk together beef stock, cream of mushroom soup, basil, red pepper flakes, parsley, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce and sliced mushrooms.
• Place four of the cubed steaks in the bottom of a slow-cooker. Pour half of the gravy mixture over them. Repeat and cover. Cook on high for 4-5 hours or low for 6-8 hours.
